# Economy

> A living, player-driven ecosystem

The Spellborne economy operates as a living, player-driven ecosystem focused on monsters, resources, guilds, and tokens. Every system feeds into another, generating continuous demand and meaningful progression.

## Foundation

* **Monsters** serve as the foundational asset — they can be captured, bred, traded, and converted to NFTs
* **BORNE token** functions as the economic backbone, earned through gameplay and spent across various systems
* Player actions directly influence scarcity and value distribution

## BORNE Token Distribution

| Allocation         | Share | Vesting                         |
| ------------------ | ----- | ------------------------------- |
| Airdrop            | 12.5% | Fully unlocked                  |
| Gameplay Fund      | 37.5% | 10% at launch, 36-month vesting |

| Investors/Advisors | 30%   | Cliff + 18-month vesting        |

<Note>
  Actual TGE unlocks may be lower due to players already spending over 2.7% of supply in-game.
