A minor update focusing on game economy changes, crafting, skills, and more.

New Updates

  • Max Skill Level: The maximum skill level for each skill has been changed from 10 to 20. The formula for how much experience is needed to reach the next level has also been adjusted, to have a more gentle increase in the experience requirements for the first few levels, but then rapidly increasing after around level 15 to give more long term progression goals.
Things that unlocked at given skill levels, such as seedpacks and crafting recipes, have had their level requirements adjusted to have a more even distribution of unlocks across the available level range.
  • Crafting: Crafting now works in a more vertical way, where higher tier items use lower tier items as part of their ingredients.
This change is intended to allow the crafting system to consume more items from circulation within the economy, and to create a stable demand for items across the different tiers of items. Fundamentally it is about concentrating many weaker items down into fewer more powerful ones. New crafting recipes added for Health packs, Stamina packs, Combo packs, Revives, Anklets, Crystals, and Prismatic Dust. Updated crafting recipes for Puddings.
  • Farming: Farming now has a passive bonus that scales in strength with your farming skill level, allowing levels that don’t unlock a new plant type to give some kind of benefit.
This bonus gives you a small chance to harvest a Mystic Root when harvesting any crop. The chances factor in the amount of time to harvest the crop being grown, to keep different crop types balanced in terms of their chance of giving a Mystic Root per hour spent growing (in the same way as how farming EXP is calculated).
  • Mining: Mining has a passive bonus that scales in strength with your mining skill level. Previously this gave you a chance to get a bonus fertilizer mineral (azotite, phosphorite, potash). Now this gives you a chance to get a bonus Prismatic Dust instead.
Azotite, phosphorite, potash (one at random) are now a guaranteed drop from all ore rocks, in addition to whatever gem is given from winning. Ore rocks that spawn now each have a difficulty tier. The tier determines the gameplay speed of the mining minigame, as well as the rewards given. Players start off with only the blue gem tier of rocks available. Rock tiers for purple and red gems unlock as your mining level increases, at level 5 and level 10 respectively. Gems are now guaranteed to be received as a reward from successfully mining a rock. Previously you only had a 50% chance to get a gem even if succesful. This is now 100%. Crystal crafting recipes have had the amount of gems needed in their ingredients increased from 1 to 2 to compensate for this.
  • Training: All crop items providing health and stamina bonuses are now limited to +5.
  • Fishing (Coming later this week): Players can start fishing by going up to any fishing spot they find along the edge of bodies of water around the overworld, and use their rod tool from the radial selector. This will open the fishing minigame UI where they can select a bait (for different effects) and start playing.
The objective is to keep the hook on the fish as it moves up and down the water, until the catching progress bar on the side is full. Each fish caught gives fishing skill experience. New more challenging fish types unlock as your fishing level increases. Fish can no longer be found in trash bins. Fishing has a passive bonus that scales in strength with your fishing skill level, allowing levels that don’t unlock a new fish type to give some kind of benefit. This bonus gives you a small chance to receive an Amber when successfully catching any fish.
  • New Items added:
Prismatic Dust: This is a new rare tier of crafting ingredient that can be obtained randomly by mining ores (in addition to the actual gem itself). Can also be used as a fertilizer in farming, to boost the chance of also harvesting a Mystic Root. Prismatic Dust can also be obtained by being crafted from a Prismatic Crystal. Mystic Root: This is a new rare tier of crafting ingredient that can be obtained randomly by harvesting plants (in addition to the actual crop itself). The odds of getting a Mystic Root can be massively boosted by using Prismatic Dust on a farm tile prior to harvesting, which acts as a new kind of fertilizer. Amber: Amber is now available in game, which is a high-tier crafting ingredient (used in crafting Prismatic Crystals and Anklets).
  • Summer Season: Summer season is here, bringing back some loved monsters such as Ignipuff, Hachibee and Leyang.

Known Bugs

  • Certain monster abilities might not work correctly.
  • Certain monster breeds might not be available as followers.
