Breeding is a long-term progression system that rewards investment, strategy, and experimentation, enriching the monster ecosystem with generational depth.

How It Works

Players combine two compatible monsters to create eggs that hatch into offspring carrying inherited traits from their parents. The system balances predictable inheritance with random variation, ensuring each monster develops uniquely.

Requirements

  • Two monsters that are compatible based on species, traits, or egg groups
  • Access to a breeding facility like a Daycare
  • Supporting resources including crops or manufactured items

Inheritance

Offspring acquire traits from their parents:
  • A portion of parental base statistics (HP, Attack, Defense, etc.)
  • Certain abilities and traits
  • Possible hidden mutations creating rare variants
  • Behavioral characteristics like preferences and trust development patterns

Egg Development

Eggs progress through an incubation period, typically requiring approximately three hours before hatching into hatchlings.
